Summary: javascript measurement units

Initial Comment:
I'm not sure if this has been already implimented or
not, but is there a way to change the unit of
measurement displayed when showing things like
distance, through use of javascript and NOT just the
right-click menu? If there's a way to do this, please
let me know.
