Good news from Sun!
-------- Original Message --------
Hi Bob,
I've tested the bug for jre1.5u4/5/6 and jre1.6. It can be
reproduced on 1.5 for all the versions and not on 1.6. That should be a
Firefox specific bug with the current jre.
As the schedule says, jre1.6 will be released in this summer.
Thanks,
-Alfred

Alfred,
Thanks. So is that saying that it's probably a nonissue with future
releases, that it is only an issue with earlier Java implementations
such as jre1.5? If that's the case, do we know when jre1.6 is due?

Hi Bob,
To compare with IE and Opera, Firefox Java Plugins module has
different API to communicate with Java.
As I've tested, the bug
(https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=269973)can't be reproduced
on jre1.6. I'll work with Java team on this bug.
Thanks,

Alfred,
Thank you so VERY much for looking into this.
Our Jmol project is fast becoming quite "the thing"
in the world of molecular visualization, and
this one little bug is a major annoyance, as you
can well imagine. Odd that it only affects Firefox, not
IE or Opera.
