Summary: Jmol Java Script Interface Improvements

Initial Comment:
Hello.

Could it be posible to pass variables between
applications, like the actual script selected in a
JmolMenu object to a jmolLink. I've created a function
to make clickable image Jmol.js based on the jmolLink
function. I use it to load new data into the applet, i
would like to pass data from other controls, like menus
into this function along with the script I use it for.

For example the value propertie form the select in the
jmolMenu function is an script Index instead of the
actual value.

Thanks.

As I mentioned before, please send you request to the Jmol users list directly,
as most users do not follow this feature request board. I am confident there
are many users with 'out-of-the-box' solutions to your problem. (I have not
had time to write one up yet, and probably won't for at least a few days.)

also, please note that you are not describing a problem with Jmol itself; the
applet is simply rendering the 3D structure. the interface is the Web page
with the javascript/html, written (I presume) by yourself.

you need to reset your html form elements when you send a new load
command to Jmol... but it is not really a Jmol issue, which is why the Jmol-
users list is your best bet.

I really really need this to work since I need to pass the
scripts I send to the applet between controls, for instance:
a checkbox and a Link.

The problem comes from loading different molecules on the
applet... When you send the script load .../jmol/molecule etc
everything resets on the applet. If, for example I've
created a checkbox to make the model vibrate and it is
checked, If a load another molecule this new one wont be
loaded vibrating, I have to uncheck and recheck the
checkbox... This is really anoying for an interface...

Thanks
