Fabian, I do not have good news.
I have successfully done full checkout/build with both b6 & head. I spent a few minutes searching the web for this message ... no luck. Here is a wild guess ... What version of the java tools are you using? Egon put in a directive for ant in the build.xml "javac1.4". I don't really know what this directive does, but if you are not using jdk 1.4 then that may be causing your problem. If you are using 1.3, then change that directive to "javac1.3" and I bet it will work.
