Hi all,

it is argued that 1.4 should be the required Java2 SDK by default.
Anyone with strong feelings about this?

Most platforms have 1.4 j2sdk now... Miguel, what about OS/X?
The applet will stay compatible with old browsers, but this is not required
for the application.

good.

Egon,

It looks like you put some checking in the build.xml file to ensure that
the jdk in use is 1.4 or greater (javac1.4 ... or something like that).

Can we officially state that all Jmol developers must have 1.4 or greater?

I am in favor of this.

If so, then I would like to use the following
 - assertions
 - wheel mouse support

Adding this would not impact the ability to run on jvms < 1.4, but would
require a 1.4 jdk in order to compile.

Miguel
