Carl, I just did clean checkouts of all the following: - head on linux - b6 branch on linux - head on win32/cygwin - b6 branch on win/cygwin
The new (good or bad) is that they all work for me. I have a theory ... I am wondering if it is a newline-related problem. I did not use any flags when I added this file to CVS. Just took a look at the CVS documentation and didn't see anything special regarding binary files. They suggest that you may want to use -kb to prevent keyword expansion. So, it doesn't seem like this should address the problem. Just to be sure, I just removed and readded the docbook file ... this time with the -kb flag. I don't think it will do anything, but it was worth a shot. I'll keep searching the web. What kind of CVS client are you using? Let me know if you learn anything.
