Egon, I am thinking about the 10.0 release of Jmol. An important thing is synchronizing with CDK. What is the status of CDK development? When will it be ready for a release?
Recently, I have not been using CDK for development. Because it was too unstable I have been using the SimpleModelAdapter for .pdb, .mol, and .xyz files. We need to add functionality to the CDK model adapter to bring it up to the same level as the SimpleModelAdapter. Additionally, we need to complete the transition of the rest of the Jmol IO system to CDK. How much work do you think this is? Do we need help from Fabian?
