This makes sense to me.

I agree that this enhancement would be useful (allowing multiple arbitrary colors for monitors, which can now have thickness), and I don't think it would cause any big problems for existing scripts (though it could break a few -- but then easily fixed).



I would also propose that the default monitor color *not* be <inherit>

Why not? I like that, and changing it may alter the results of old scripts.



And, I would apply the same reasoning to 'label'. One should be able to
set label colors on individual labels.

No problem with that enhancement.
