You can control the period.

It currently defaults to 2 seconds, but I am planning on changing it to 1

Both.

I need some feedback on what you want.

The command 'vector scale .5' will scale the atom vectors by the specified
amount. This affects both the drawn scale and the amplitude during
vibration.

There is currently a bug in that the vector length is incorrect during an
animation if the scale != 1 ... I am scaling it twice.
