that echo isn't reported through MessageCallBack. Many RasMol scripts 
contain useful hints for the user directed to the console via echo. 
MessageCallBack should report that an echo script command is executed, 
so it is easy to use a <textarea> to display this multi line text from 
RasMol scripts

I want javascript access to the current selection, e.g. in RasMol
select [CYS]29:B.SG
show selected group
would report (MessageCallBack)
Chain: B   Group: CYS 29 (C) (1/6) atoms

I do not believe that this will be done within the next few months.

I am not aware of any bugs here ... do not confuse the extra *atomIndex*
parameter with a PDB "atom number"
 

I missed the PDB atom number in the MessageCallBack output of Jmol, 
clicking on the above atom in RasMol would report
Atom: SG 1193   Group: CYS 29   Chain: B
