Alex--

Assuming that you're using a Windows OS since you're using WinZip, it
may help you to know that the 'compressed folder' feature of the WinXP
file system does open it correctly (right-click, 'open with', etc.)

And for those looking into the cause and solution of this problem, it
may be helpful to know that the very same version of WinZip that fails
on pre14.zip worked just fine on the several other previous versions
that I tried along the way.
