cd {your-working-sandbox}

cvs up -dP

# Will bring down new stuff. Will not destroy any temp files that you have.

cvs -n up -dP

# The -n flag will go through the motions without actually doing anything

The definitive document is:

http://cvsbook.red-bean.com/cvsbook.html

This one can also be hard to read :-/

The commands you need to know for anonymouse are:

#check out Jmol to the Jmol subdirectory
cvs -d:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/jmol co Jmol

#check out Jmol to mySecondCopyOfJmol subdirectory
cvs -d:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/jmol co -d
mySecondCopyOfJmol Jmol

# you can, of course, check out as many times as you like to different
subdirectories

cd Jmol # or mySecondCopyOfJmol
cvs up -dP # update everything

cvs -n up -dP # show me what CVS will do

ant clean main # rebuild everything
