I'm working on an educational chemistry application for use in the Brown University intro to organic chemistry class. For reasons beyond my control, we're doing this in C#. I've been fighting with the Direct3D renderer, and I realized, gosh, there are some great molecular visualization tools out there; why don't I just use them?

The reason is... none of them are written on top of the .NET framework. So, I'm thinking about trying to "upgrade" (as microsoft calls it) Jmol to a Visual J# project. Then I can embed a Jmol viewer in my C# application. Has anyone tried this, that you know of? Any suggestions, thoughts, waves of revulsion, etc?
