Summary: define N and C termini of protein chains

Initial Comment:
it would be useful to be able to select the N and C termini of a
protein chain. likewise, select the 5' and 3' ends of a nucleic acid
chain.

I've been thinking about this recently. I wonder if there is a use for a
predefined set 'termini' that would include N and C terminal groups for
proteins, and 5' and 3' terminal groups for nucleic acids.

this should be as easy as finding the first and last groups of a chain and
including them in a termini set. but, how do I find the first and last groups
of
a chain? can someone point me in the right direction please?

thanks,

tim

Tim,

What do you mean by this? Do you want a special predefined
set for this?

Miguel
