I'm not sure where to start on the developer guide. Egon, maybe you
could do the non-Eclipse part. The Eclipse business just involves
adding the fact that you need the "Subeclipse" add-on, the
installation of which is nicely presented at http://subclipse.tigris.org/
http://subclipse.tigris.org/install.html
All you need beyond that is the URL for the project:
https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/jmol/trunk
Ah, did the jmol-web svn checkout issue get resolved?

Thank you very much for the replies.
This sounds like it might be what I want, but I've
been unable to check out the CVS code today.
Jmol just converted from CVS to subversion.
Was following instructions on jmol download page,
but the command keeps timing out rather than letting
me log in. (I can use CVS to check out another project,
so I don't *think* it is a problem at my end).
Sorry ... we have not yet updated web pages to reflect the switch to
subversion.
Is there any chance of a development release with source
code?
Not really. Send questions if you have difficulty checking out with
subversion.
