We're in good shape here -- looks like the latest update to Java Runtime
Environment 1.5 fixes the applet polling issue I observed. Whew!

I tested with 1.5.0_07 B2 (which has been promoted) and 1.6.0 latest
build. Except for the fact that applets fail to load (which is an
expected behavior of the testcase), typing in to the URL window after
display "about java" message has NO reversal and/or any problem at all.
I attached a screen capture here with run by 1.5.0_07 b2.

Hi Bob,
To compare with IE and Opera, Firefox Java Plugins module has
different API to communicate with Java.
As I've tested, the bug
(https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=269973)can't be reproduced
on jre1.6. I'll work with Java team on this bug.
