Ah, yes, I guess I wasn't clear in what I said. I meant that it should be pretty easy to test whether, in general, a given browser has a single JVM for two instances of the same applet. But I agree with Miguel -- it's not worth trying to figure out on a case-by-case basis whether static variables are going to cause a problem. --------------------------------------------------------- R.
