Most likely they arise if you are using some of the application interfaces, which have changed a bit. Generally all that is needed is to declare a few empty functions in, for example, JmolStatusListener or JmolAdapter.
The Jar file can be found in http://www.stolaf.edu/people/hansonr/jmol/test/proto either as itself or included in the ZIP file in that directory. This is pretty stable, although I am still busy adding a few finishing touches for 11.0.
