some of the renderers use

atom.getScreenX()

and some use

atom.screenX

They are the same; Atom.getScreenX() simply returns screenX

Q: would it be reasonable to just get rid of "getScreenX()"? I 
understand that generally one wants to expose methods like this, not the 
variable itself, but in this case, it isn't a public method, and it is 
used SO much, wouldn't it be marginally faster and programmatically "OK" 
to just reference the variable itself?
