Since 10.9.76 is not available yet, I couldn't check it with this
version. You can reproduce the problem with version 10.9.75 with the
following example:

If you select 'Asymmetric Unit 1' in the 'Atom Selection' menu and then
type 'display selected' in the script line, the cartoon of asymmetric
unit 2+3 (red and yellow) is hidden, but the trace remains visible.
The asymmetric units 1,2 and 3 are actually model 1,2 and 3 from the
second biological unit PDB file from the RCSB.
