Basically, if all you are interested in doing is delivering a few 
surfaces, I strongly recommend JVXL. It's got a compression ratio of 
about 300:1 over CUBE, and it loads faster. To create a JVXL file from 
Gaussian output, you can:

1) use the Jmol application (Jmol.jar) to load the file, create the 
isosurface, and then use

  write isosurface "filename.jvxl"

to create the JVXL file.

2) use the Jmol application with appropriate command-line options -ions 
(as I recall) to run a script that creates the isosurface and exits 
without ever showing anything.

3) use the command-line application Jvxl.jar, which comes with the 
distribution, to do the conversion directly, without any graphical 
interface.
