In any case, yes, you can save the state to memory:

And you can also save the state to a script file:
write state
(I realize now that this will cannot be done from the applet, as it
has no permission to save files, but you can prepare the script file
in advance using the app)
You will likely have to be careful to apply it later, so that it is
only applied to the first model.
