I'd say feature, if it was controllable :-) This sounds like something I had about a week ago: I was playing a 1-hour video in RealPlayer and wanted to capture a still image. So, I paused the player and hit PrtScr. I went to my usual image editor, pasted, and the size of the image was different: only the central portion of the movie could be seen, at a larger scale. After several tests, it came out that the image was not being captured, but just seen through any program that I opened on top. I didn't try Jmol though :). In fact, when I saved the image from the editor application, it came out all black.
So, maybe after all the Jmol background may be transparent :-D Oh those graphic cards! On another topic, I just commited a button/icon for the new Gaussian export in the menu. Just a plain G in Brush Script font, but it looks great!
