I need some help from our power Java programmers (Nico, Charles, others). I'd like us to discuss how do handle out of memory issues. I've tried just catching these errors, and it works sometimes, but it's not reliable.
As a starting point, there's an interesting presentation by John Boyland at http://www.cs.uwm.edu/~boyland/papers/memory-error-talk.pdf that makes some suggestions. Comments? Bob -- Robert M.
