beats me, but I just copied my whole Java installation to that directory, and now it is working. I just can't figure out where it is getting the j2sdk1.4.2_10 idea from. Probably something to do with my transferring files from my old computer -- I really have no idea. I can't find in the hidden files or in the system registry or environment variables anything referring to j2sdk1.4.2_10. My current solution is probably just fine.
