Hello everybody...
Yes, digging in a massive application like Jmol to understand is certainly
not the way to go.
But I am very short on time. Hence i resorted to this way.
And yes this is an educational excercise. Ofcourse, I can use Jmol directly
for my purpose but
that kills the basic idea of me working on my project. I mean, I'l have
nothing to do then.
My guide and I had started this project. Unfortunately, she had to leave our
institute for some
reasons. So, things got messed up....
I have been thinking. If I cannot write a molecular viewer code this fast,
will it be wise and legal to cut short Jmol's features to only the basic
ones like
reading pdb files and 3D rendering of molecules (nothing else) and then
integrate this fraction of Jmol with the rest of
my modules?
I have downloaded Jogl and its javadocs.. I'l check out how to install it
and use it.
As far as I know, Jmol doesn't use jogl, right?
