Eran and Henry,

I agree this is something we need to worry about.  I've looked into  
the cross-compiler a little.  It might work, but will require some  
heavy lifting on the part of someone.  The other problem is that to  
get set up to deal with the proprietary Apple environment requires an  
annual fee.  I don't know other people's status, but as I am getting  
very little credit for what I do contribute to Jmol it is hard to  
justify monetary as well as time investment in something like that.

I've considered working on it, if the community would be OK with  
charging money for the iphone/ipad version of Jmol.  A fee of $2 for  
the program  would probably be enough to recoup the monetary costs.
