I have been working on some core CDK patches... one is a new builder, that makes it easier to have only a subset of classes implemented, such as around just IMolecule... that should be enough for simple molecule drawing... and earlier wrote a patch to remove the log4j requirement... don't have time to work on it full time, and happy that Chris' team took things forawrd for the 3.0 applet release, but more nice things are coming...
