Hi,

The Jmol slab function can be confusing for casual users, because it displays
only one half of the model. It demands great effort from the user to understand
what's looking at.

I would like to be able to start the slab mode with the option of
maintaining the front part of the model transparent (and set the transparency %)
with a choice of keeping the original colors or a uniform color, like gainsboro.

In this way, the overall structure of the model remains complete, while the
user
can see through the frontal transparent portion into the slabbing plane and the
rest.

Is this already available in Jmol?

Thanks in advance,
Jaim
