Upon reloading it in MacOSX + chrome it seems to be working as you describe, 
Angel. Maybe I had a trans-Atlantic network problem last time.

The function keys don't work (probably my American keyboard).

 I think this is pretty cool and think we should pursue replacing the little 
model builder menu system with this.  It will need to be a completely separate 
module that can be loaded separately if needed.   I would also like to see it 
not insist on using the signed applet.
