Thanks, Bob I know you were very busy when I sent that. I have done the testing already, yes, it's the css that needs revision. Anyway, I will give it a second thought to think what is the best way to implement.
One alternative is to extract all the css rules into a separate css file, instead of hard-coding them in the javascript that creates the object. That would make it easier to customize if one is brave enough. Since the JSmol distribution is anyway a big bunch of files, I think having a separate css fils is not a problem. I haven't much time this weekend, but will report soon.
