Of course I consider it my duty to share at least half of the burden of making it.
For greatest productivity, we need a way of creating both a web page and a portable document from our document source. Further, the each version should be CVS maintained.
Al tough I think that LaTeX is still a very productive tool for writing, I suggest we give docbook a try once more :-)
Egon, we could meet in person again to establish the framework.
Cheers,
Chris

Hi all,
CDK is getting larger and more used every day. Even though I have a pretty good overview of what is going on with the CDK, it might be time to start a
three-monthual newsletter with short articles on CDK internals, use and maybe small tutorials. Aimed mainly at users, but very interesting to developers too, because it is no longer feasible to understand the whole of CDK.
Thus, I would like to start a newsletter. A good example is the 'R News' newsletter http://cran.r-project.org/doc/Rnews/, or the R Project which makes an OpenSource statistical software package (very good btw, though graphics
are not as good as MatLab yet).
Such a news letter would contain articles describing the use of CDK on any level. This means, it could be an explanation/display of a program using CDK too, e.g. a commercial program (CDK is LGPL afterall), so it might be a nice platform for sort of advertisement too. And I think advertisement for a program that uses CDK, is advertisement for CDK too.
That my intention. *But* I won't be able to do this by myself. So I am looking for people who can/will help me setup this newsletter, and people who want/can write articles for the newsletter.
So, if you are using CDK, and you like it, and you have time to write a short article on using CDK in whatever way of about 1 A4, please contact me.
Oh yes, they articles will be copyrighted FDL, thus there is the option of invariant parts, for those who know the details ;)
If this things hits of, I'll setup a new mailling list specifically for sending articles etc.
Please let me know what you think of it...
Egon
