in RasMol2.7.2.1 there is a
set unitcell on
command, which I missed in Jmol, although the set axis command is implemented in Jmol (RasWin = only Windows version - had wrong Y axis labeling - Jmol is correct, I presume)
so if the set unitcell command would be implemented in Jmol, no fake atoms will be needed to show the unit cell.
