You want %I to *only* be the insertion code?

That means that every time you use this you are going to say
 label %i%I

Jan, I don't think I agree with this.

The 'atom serial number' never makes sense by itself. It only makes sense
with the insertion code.

Therefore I really think that %i should display the serial number +
insertion code combination.

Probably with the ^ notation that we have adopted.
