When lines get drawn to the upper-left corner it is because some
coordinate transformation is failing and the lines get drawn to 0,0,0

Not sure what is going on ... the behavior in the Jmol application is even
worse. It just hangs when you say 'cartoon'.

I suspect that there are some unusual/interesting coordinates/definitions
in the file. Probably related to the HELIX/SHEET definitions. Previously
there was a problem because some .pdb files had residues participating in
two HELIX structures, something I had not anticipated. This is probably
something like that.

I have filed a bug report so that this does not get lost.
