Tim, I just checked in code that allows you to control the measure/monitor rendering. (Tim, I will send you the code off-list)
set monitor on # turns on measurement numbers set monitor off # turns off measurement numbers set monitor 3 # 3 pixels wide set monitor 0.3 # 0.3 angstroms wide color monitor lemonChiffon # applies your favorite color Now, there is a *feature* of measurements that you may not like ... let me explain. Measurements are made for measuring things. Therefore, it is important to see the ends of the lines. Therefore, they are not drawn to the centers of the atoms. Rather, they are always drawn so that the lines terminate in front of the associated atoms ... just outside the atom radius ... between the user and the atoms involved in the measurement. So, if you want to use these things as 'fake bonds' then they may not do what you want because they will not be positioned in the exact same spot that bonds would be in.
