Well, that was the idea ... try to be Chime-compatible so that people
could migrate sites.


The person who is responsible for getting me involved in Jmol is Jose Luis
Lopez Perez, Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Salamanca,
Spain. He also had made a significant investment in Chime-based tutorials
for his students. He was quite distressed by the fact that his work was
going to decay ... just like you were. So I joined the Jmol project with
the explicit goal of developing it into a Chime replacement. I knew that
it was a big job, but I still underestimated the magnitude of the task.
