hi folks, I would like to store some pdb file on my server and have it open in the Jmol-applet. but while I want Jmol to have access to it, I do not want the user to be able to open the file as plain-text in a browser window.
at the moment, one can do this simply by viewing source on the Jmol page, then copying the path from the load parameter of Jmol into the location slot of a browser window. it seems to me that there should be some way of configuring file permissions on the server to disallow this kind of access, or maybe a perl solution. can anyone offer suggestions? many thanks, tim -- Timothy Driscoll molvisions - see, grasp, learn. <http://www.molvisions.com/> usa:north carolina:wake forest Don't say yes until I finish talking!" ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
