hi, I am building a Web page and I want to be able to 'silently' access structure files in the PDB - IOW, if a user enters a pdb id code and submits the form, the page will go get the relevant atomic coordinates from the PDB (and subsequently save the results as a DB record).
does anyone know if there exists a method for doing this already? I can see how to construct and call a specific 'Download/Display File' page from the PDB, and then I could strip the coordinates from that, but I doubt that is the best route. any thoughts? thanks, tim -- Timothy Driscoll molvisions - see, grasp, learn. <http://www.molvisions.com/> usa:north carolina:wake forest "The best teacher is the one who suggests rather than dogmatizes, and inspires his listener with the wish to teach himself." - Edward Bulwer-Lytton ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IntelliVIEW -- Interactive Reporting Tool for open source databases.
