Philip Bays reports problems with LiveConnect following the 1.4.2 Java update [Aug. 13]. I have encountered the same issue, on lavalife.com, which presumably uses LiveConnect very heavily to support instant messaging and status functions. This site has always been in the running for the award for Most Mac-Hostile Site, but with 1.4.1 everything was working okay, if occasionally a bit sluggishly. But with 1.4.2 -- try to go past the top level page and Safari just quits. No crash report even.
