just a quick comment -- please warn your users if you are having them load a
huge file. After clicking here, I had to use task manager to kill Netscape; it
had already consumed 164 Mb of memory unzipping that thing! How big is it?
I suspect memory is some of your problem.

I still have no idea what's different between the old and new versions.
I'll keep trying to figure out what the problem was.
Even the new version doesn't work on one laptop in my lab.
I'l let u know if I figure out what caused this..
Thanks
Sam

Subject: RE: [Jmol-users] strange internet explorer behavior
Hi Miguel,
Thanks for your reply. I downloaded jmol-10.00.12. However the odd
behavior continues.
bummer
I figured out that the viewer will not appear on my page until some other
application window passes over the viewer area, forcing windows to refresh
the graphics. The viewer appears as soon as that other window is removed.
that really sounds like a browser bug.
I am thinking of writing a DHTML script that moves some graphic element of
my web page over the viewer -- perhaps this will force the graphics to
refresh.
:-) ... I suppose that it is worth a shot.
Miguel
