Q: Is it the case that all you want to do is leave the display in its previous state? That is, just leave the old image on the screen?
Yes, all I want is that when I load the next image, during that time (transition time between loading second image) the earlier image should stay in the display. This would avoid flashing, and give it a more movie sense. It takes around a second to load the next image, so if I during this ime can let the first image stay on display, it would be great.
