Bob, I thank you for the quick reply, but I think this is a different, even if perhaps somewhat related, issue of Safari/LiveConnect.
BTW, I had read the e-mail thread that terminated as indicated below beforehand, and at least one of the Safari browsers that produced the odd results I mentioned in my previous message _passed_ your LiveConnect test (and didn't have the 2005-002 security update) and declared that LiveConnect succeeded in every instance--all six links, and upon reload. Still, that browser successfully displayed the Jmol applet and communicated with javascript buttons in a separate frame, the first display only; in all subsequent webpages with the same frame structure, the applet worked fine but the javascript buttons were inactive. ( http://virtual-museum.soils.wisc.edu ) If Safari was closed and reopened with the second webpage, the javascript features would work fine on that display, but not on the next. Just looking for an explanation of the odd behavior... > Phillip Barak wrote: > > > Could this be another > > Safari/LiveConnect bug related to frames? > > > > --Phil Barak > > > > No, this is a general bug in Safari relating to loading applets. It has nothing to do with Jmol, of course.
