select 58-53 selects nothing
That is good
I disagree, it should result in the same selection as above, this would
make it much easier to write automatic scripts. Selection with ranges
should operate on the true chain and not on the symbols (e.g. 58), the
symbols are only the pointers to start and end of the sequence.
