Not in general, no. Certainly none of Opera 8.5, Mozilla 1.7.8, or
Firefox 1.0.6/1.5_beta support this; nor should they, I think - that's
not the proper place to advertise a mimetype.

No; but <http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2005/09/15/467901.aspx> 
(from one of the IE developers) states that it is definitely not 
coming in IE7, although he seems keen for it to be in IE8 (but
there's no promises.)
