I realize that the lack of support for callback mechanisms is a deficiency in the Jmol.js JavaScript library. I am generally not happy with the 'functionSpecificCallback' mechanism that was introduced by Chime. My plan has been (and continues to be) to develop a more general event notification mechanism whereby JavaScript can receive messages from the JmolApplet. We'll get there someday.
