I think I recall hearing something about Chime having problems with small
numbers of atoms ... like 1 atom.

But Jmol will happily display a molecule that contains only 1 atom.


my mistake; that was an old Jmol memory, then.

Chime can display a single atom without trouble, at least from a pdb file.
