agreement with your mental model of how this should work.
Please work Bob + Tim + others to reach agreement on the most

10.00.48 agrees with my concept of how these commands should work as
well. (I did not know about 'set bonds' in either Chime or Jmol, so
thank you for pointing that out - sorry if it muddled the discussion
somewhat.)
