Jan, why would we not show the CONECT hbonds on start up? These are
defined in the PDB file same as HYDBND records.
I argue show all (CONECT) what is in the file on load, but do not show
calculated backbone hbonds as in 10.00.52 on load.

think so.

connect delete single
# there are hbonds (not defined in CONECT e.g. 289 317)
connect delete hbonds
# did *not* remove these hbonds!
