Not, it's really Jmol.
An early version of Jmol Extension for MediaWiki was used in the FaH
wiki ( http://fahwiki.net/ ) + Jmol 10.00.11
When they switched to the new Extension + 10.2.0, they noticed that it
was a lot slower and old computers were becoming sluggish.
I asked them to test the old extension with 10.2.0 to be sure, and old
extension + 10.2.0 was also sluggish.

So, yes, there's a performance problem somewhere in the new release.

I think this was a general observation, for 10.2 too... see earlier
discussions on slow rotation.
My own observation was not that rotation was sluggish but that it was
much more CPU intensive, so yes probably sluggish on slower computers
(the CPU usage was multiplied by something like 3 when "spin on"
between an early 10.00.xx and 10.2)
